Atom’s Win Guelph Power Play Tournament

This past November, the Atom Terriers took part in the 46th Annual Guelph Power Play Tournament. After two days of round robin play, the team finished with a 2-1-1 record, which was enough to get through to the playoff round. In their first playoff match, the team was pitted against the Nepean Raiders, the team that handed them their only loss in the round robin. With some clutch goaltending and a great two-way game from the entire team, the Terriers managed to turn the tides on their counterpart and hold out for a 2-1 win to advance to the finals. In the championship game, the Terriers faced off against the home town Gryphons. It was a very hard fought battle and despite the large number of hometown supporters in the crowd, the team showed a lot of heart and pulled off a character 2-1 win to take the championship.
