The Atom Mississauga Terriers AA hockey team won the Cup tournament in Buffalo during the first weekend of December.

The Terriers had a three win, one loss record in the round-robin. They started with two victories, 5-3 against the Ottawa Sting and 2-0 over the Skaneateles Lakers, then were beaten 3-1 by the Flamborough Sabres. They regained their winning ways by defeating their GTHL rivals, the Mississauga Beast, 5-0. That victory meant they won their division and were given an automatic berth into the Semi-Finals.

The opponent, the Ottawa Sting, who the Terriers defeated in round-robin play, put in an amazing effort. With 20 seconds left the Sting thought they had a victory, but with the goalie pulled the Terriers scored, forcing overtime. Then during the 3 on 3 the Terriers scored, to win and advance to the finals.

That meant another re-match, this time against the Flamborough Sabres who won the first match 3-1. This time the game was completely different, with the Terriers winning the tournament and the game with a 3-0 victory.
