2024-2025 John Debling MVP Award Winners
Congratulations to our 2024-2025 John Debling MVP Award Winners!

The John Debling MVP Award is important because it is voted on by the players.  Every year, one player on each team, stands out as the MVP, based on hard work, dedication, respect for the game, sportsmanship and hockey skills.  This player is trusted by his teammates to represent his team well, both on and off the ice.  The winners of these awards are announced, by the coaches, every year during the year end banquet.

John passed away on September 12, 2024 in his 88th year, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was our longest standing volunteer logging 46 years as a Terrier.  John joined the Terriers when his son Todd played in 1978.  After coaching John joined the executive team as Vice President where he helped the club become the powerhouse that it is today.  John started his career as a tool and die maker, then moved into the teaching ranks, as a well admired and respected high school teacher. John was a humble man who led by example.  He never sought the limelight, choosing instead to remain under the radar and simply help run the Terriers when asked. John will always be remembered as a kind, thoughtful, religious, patient and very gentle man.  John was a dear friend who will be missed.
Congratulations to this year's recipients!
