These are the victories that Joe looked to first. Joe Schembri was a hockey volunteer, dedicated to the kids and their game.  This scholarship is designed to continue that tradition by celebrating the success of our players. The recipient of this scholarship will understand Joe’s dedication to the Mississauga Terriers Hockey Club and will be committed to carrying on the Terrier’s tradition of “Doing It For The Kids”.

Under his direction, Terrier coaches and players have held aloft hundreds of championship trophies.  Joe has celebrated all of those victories, but he has also delighted in the smaller, often un-recognized triumphs.  The smile of a young player who has finally been selected to join the Terriers or a boy’s hands reaching into the air as his first goal is celebrated or the tears of a mom who is in awe of her son’s accomplishments.
